Il Cottage
Chalet Alyeska is perfectly located just a 5 minute walk from the Matterhorn cable car station and from the village centre. It is set in its’ own grounds, in a tranquil wooded area with spectacular views of the Matterhorn.
Having used local wood and natural products combined with lots of glass, to ensure maximum light and perfect views, the owners have created a beautiful, luxurious, modern yet cosy residence. It is situated in an elevated position in a beautiful wooded area of Zermatt where the wildlife roam freely but is still conveniently situated for the town centre and the main Matterhorn cable car station, both just a 5 minute walk. It is the perfect place to relax, in complete privacy, whilst still being close to all the local amenities. Access to Alyeska is by a private telecabin but is also accessible by a well-maintained footpath.
The luxury 4 floor chalet comprises 6 bedrooms (3 doubles (with wash basin) and 3 singles). There are 2 bathrooms (shower/WC) and an enticing wellness area with infrared sauna that has a double Jacuzzi-bath, a separate shower and can be used as an additional bathroom. There is a modern, well-equipped, open-plan kitchen/dining area (dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, raclette, fondue etc.). The dining area has a unique natural wood dining table that comfortably seats 10.
The expansive lounge has an enclosed wood burning fireplace with ample, comfortable seating to enjoy the stunning views of the majestic Matterhorn. It is equipped with a plasma television with multi lingual channels including several English TV channels (BBC & ITV), a DVD player, CD/Radio/iPod docking station and free Wi-Fi internet connection. The lounge is overlooked by a mezzanine with a seating area that shares the same outstanding views as the lounge. The Chalet is south facing and has substantially sized windows which allow natural light to flood in and provide the captivating views of the Matterhorn and surrounding mountains which Zermatt is famous for. There are laundry facilities washing machine and dryer for your use.

Great accommodation in an excellent location. Stuart is a fabulous host who thinks of all of the things that make the stay perfect. We had a magnificent week!
What a wonderful experience and good vacation we had. The house is newly renovated and tastefully decorated. We really liked the location, style, and view. I would love to come back again next year and would recommend my friends as well.
