La Casa
This charming, cozy and utterly tropical 2-bedroom villa is idyllically located in Batu Belig, just meters away from the beach and within short driving distance from the center of Seminyak and the hot spots of Canggu. A perfect Bali home for two couples or a family seeking the best of both worlds. Larger families can opt to rent Villa Gembira together with its big sister Villa Senang, transforming it into a large 6-bedroom holiday haven with 3 swimming pools.
The two bedroom suites of Villa Gembira flank the sides of the open-plan living room. Traditional hand-carved doors beneath beautiful arched doorways lead inside of the air-conditioned bedrooms.
Both rooms are decorated elegantly with tribal artwork, one fitted with a king-size bed and the other twins, both draped in romantic white mosquito nets for a perfect night sleep.
Each bedroom also features a satellite-TV with DVD-player for entertainment and generous-size wardrobe closets.
The en-suite bathrooms are utterly tropical for you to enjoy a hot or cold shower between lush tropical greenery.
One of the bathrooms even boasts a bathtub beneath a pergola shaded roof, to relax to the max in this little slice of paradise.
Villa Gembira features a tropical open-concept living room, overlooking the greenery and the ornamental koi fish ponds and fountains of the garden. The living space features a beautiful natural interior design, ruled by local timbers, natural stone and traditional tribal artwork. There is a comfy L-shaped sofa to lounge on at any time of the day. Perhaps with something to read from the book collection provided. Behind the sofa, you will find the well-equipped kitchen of Villa Gembira, complete with a large fridge, a stove and a Nespresso coffee machine for a delicious cup of black goodness in the morning. On the side, stands a glass-topped 5-seater dining table for enjoying breakfast in the morning or a nice and cozy in-villa meal by candlelight in the evening, if not going out to dinner at one of the classy restaurants of Seminyak once again.

From the entrance of Villa Gembira, a pathway alongside tranquil koi fish ponds and fountains, leads passed the living room and the bedroom suites to the sprawling private garden of this charming holiday rental. Thé place where you will be swimming and lounging by the poolside, soaking up the sun and the tropical ambiance all day long. A gorgeous thatch-roofed balé with pillows and a coffee table sits at the edge of the pool, the perfect shady lounge spot after a dive in the pool and a sunbathing session on the reclining chairs.

The location of Villa Gembira is just perfect, tucked in a quiet lane, in walking distance of Batu Belig Beach and famous restaurants such as Métis and Sardine. The fashionable center of Seminyak is just a short drive away for those wanting to go shop or lounge at renowned beach clubs such as KU DE TA or Potato Head. You can also visit the nearby beach club La Laguna, featuring a vintage bohemian décor and themed parties on some weekends. For a day of family fun, visit the Canggu Club, home to a water park, bowling alley, trampoline center of much more. The international airport of Bali is around 30 minutes driving away. Quiet, cozy, and private villa in the busy Seminyak neighborhood. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious! It was a great introduction to the Indonesian vibes for our three-week trip, making our sixth anniversary truly special!
It took us a couple of days to get used to our friendly gecko neighbors and, at times, the singing frogs by the fish pool. Wish we have received warning of these friendly neighbors upon arrival so we wouldn’t freak out! =D
The toaster had one tiny lizard inside so we definitely didn’t use it, but I also informed the cook and she advised of the same.
Tout ! Cette maison est exceptionnelle ! La situation (Seminyak, touristique, mais au fond d’une petite ruelle, très calme), 5 min de marche de la plage magnifique de 12km de long que l’on peut faire dans les 2 sens, la maison elle même avec son jardin, sa végétation extraordinaire et sa piscine, sa SDB extérieure… et le personnel top avec cuisinières extra. Cette maison ce n’est que du bonheur. Allez y les yeux fermés, par ailleurs rapport qualité/prix excellent vu l’endroit.
Je remercie Vilanovo qui m’a permis d’utiliser des réservations réalisées pour mai 2020 (et on sait ce qu’il y a eu..) en mai 2023. Étant hospitalier nous avons repoussé 3 fois avant que la 4eme soit la bonne. Les contacts avec eux ont toujours été super, et ils sont d’une grande aide pour déterminer sa maison (nous en avions choisi 2).
